Uhm yes, there is Punk in Second Life. And I don't mean the garbage you can see all around in SL. I mean this long gone culture that came up in the late 70's and early 80's in England. No, it is not about Phil Collins and Elton John, allthought that is garbage, too :-) Sex Pistols, Ramones, P.I.L. etc. Young people dressed up in old clothes, very coloured iroquese hair cuts. Safety pins and razor blades as a kind of jewellery.
As a part time punk I was around a little. Long time ago I've picked up some nice stuff for a cool punk outfit. And the funny thing is: the "Principle Punk" works in SL too: You get a lot of stuff for very small money - or even free. "Got some change, Dude?" - you don't need to beg around. Okay, SL is overflooded from freebies, but rarely in niches. For punks there is enough. Not only music, but also shops.
I want to give you two start addresses for your new punk life:
The Social SceneGive your second life some new glamour: become punk!!
is a punk club playing all the good music. Regular schedules and life DJs in the weekend. The Club and the environment are quite detailed, rotten look and lot of nice details. The dancefloor is far away from "Bits and Bob's" or "Sine Wave". It is pogo!
Black Maria
is a punk style mall with punk style fashion and stuff. A wide range of punk hairs in different cuts and colours starting at 80 L$. 4 Luckychairs give you the chance for a free hair. Roughly a dozen shops offer clothings, accessoires and apparel, lots of freebies, in nearly every shop.

I will check that out soon! Maybe a punky Duchesse then :-). BTW: I hve heared that a lot of that stores are driven by Japanese. Funny, they adopted this "old" English culture.
Thanks for your detailed posting, Kloud :)
PUNK is not dead, and I stay alive too ;-))
